Growing at scale, in Cheshire, makes our stock hardy while minimising our carbon footprint.Our offering isn’t limited to what we grow on site either. Long standing relationships in the UK and Europe enable us to offer you a complete range for any scheme, including rootball hedging, mature specimens and ornate topiary.

Hortico is a partnership between two established horticultural businesses: Okells Garden Centre and North Western Plants.Our company might be new, but together we have more than a few decades of experience both growing and sourcing quality stock and providing our customers with the best service possible. Hortico was born out of our shared drive to create a better offering, specifically for people using plants in their business.

Our nursery
A work in progress

Our growing nursery and retail site has a rich history, having been in operation since 1910. By April, we aim to have the 6-acre production nursery fully operational and our gates open, ready to welcome you in. The location, sitting on the edge of Delamere Forest, is an inspiring backdrop for any project and an impressive location to bring a client.We are currently hard at work, developing the site and its facilities to move it forwards, all while maintaining the natural charm it already has to offer.
